FROM OUR CLIENTS

As time goes on. . . .  the horses we have sold are getting older.  Their new owners have been sending pictures and telling us how they are doing.  We appreciate hearing from them and would like to share them with you.

Tina in Salmon Arm, B.C
i just wanted to let you know that charly and teddy are doing well.  teddy is still in alberta and  will be joining us in salmon arm in march.  our friend put a few rides on him and  then he just got to "chill" in a field with a bunch of horses and  keep growing.  i am excited to get him here and start working with him myself.  charly is at the indoor where i ride out of and is doing SOOOOOOOOOOO WELL.  i started jumping him and he's amazing.  i just love him.  he's so sweet and kind, and he's such a nice mover.  i can't say enough good things about him.  he has a huge fan club at the barn, and all over town.  the other day i went into town to a store, the lady that owns the store has a horse up at the indoor and she had watched me ride him a few days prior and when i walked in the store she went on and on about charly and how cool he is.  and this happens all the time.  anyobdy who gets to meet him falls in love with him. like i said, he has a fan club.

i just thought i'd let you know how thrilled i am with charly!

cheers, tina

LILLY

We would like to introduce ourselves. We are the proud owners of a four year old (2005) mare that was born and raised on your farm. We bought her in December 2008 from Patricia Gomes of Majorca Farm in Tiverton, RI. We were told that she came from Countryside Sport Horses with the name Lilliam, however we are now calling her Lily, and Lady Lillian at shows. Our 15 year old daughter Julia has been working on her training with her instructor since her purchase and this mare is all we could ask for. They have done a few early season shows and she has done well in green horse classes, as well as jumping up to 2'3 in pre-children's hunter. We have attached a few pictures of her so you can see how well she is developing. Her brain is fantastic and she is very trainable.

We were hoping to get some additional information about her pedigree (and baby pictures if possible) as Julia is an avid ponyclubber and they have special awards for draft-cross horses. In order for her to be able to compete for these awards, she needs to be registered with the Draft Cross Owners and Breeders Association.
We are looking forward to hearing from you and are looking forward to any information you can give us about this wonderful mare.

FIFTY CALIBER

Also pictured on home page

I brought Caliber home mid April 2004 on a Saturday evening, it was my understanding that she had not had a rider atop...YET. By Sunday noon, I climbed on up, Caliber was Perfect!   My goal was to do 3 Day Eventing with her so I began training with Kathy Gilliland out of Arriba Vista Ranch in Sunol, California.

Within 3 months Caliber and I became Certified East Bay Mounted Patrollers! Caliber loves to swim in the lakes after patrolling the trails. We take off her saddle, I put on shorts and hop up. We go out and swim...really swim....up to her eyeballs she dog paddles in a big horse shoe and back to shore. Then we do it again, and again, and again. She loves the water!   We have taken numerous camping trips too. We go up to the high country for a week or two, she loves being a mountain horse on those trips, we go easy on her as she is still a baby!! In the middle of nowhere she high lines as if she had done that before. We crossed the Carson River, chest deep and flowing she did not even blink an eye.

we began showing under the name Fifty Caliber. The judges love her. We have been in over 5 shows, here are some of the results:

Dressage Intro A: Blue Ribbon
Dressage Training 1: Blue Ribbon
Hunter under saddle: Fourth and a Blue Ribbon Hunter 18": Blue Ribbon
Hunter 2': Blue Ribbon
Hunter 2'3": Blue Ribbon
Combined Test: Third Place

We just won our Novice division at Eventful Acres in Oregon House, California

We finished at Ram Tap in Fresno, taking home 2ND place in
the Novice division on our dressage score of 30.0!
Caliber was flawless!

We have been training at Fox Hill Eventing with Mogie
Bearden-Muller and Ann Byron, (who used to ride for Tom and
Denise) for the last two months!

Since moving over to Fox Hill, Calibers jumping has greatly
improved and we look forward to next season, moving up and
competing at Training Level!!

Caliber is now 5 1/2 years old, stands 17.2, is well
muscled, willing, balanced and solid all the way around!!

CUESTA

Quinn bought Cuesta a few months ago. Cuesta is a 4 yr old Clyde/TB and Quinn is 10 years old.   Cuesta and her fell in love the day they met.  We think Cuesta  picked her!  They now live in southern California, stabling at Cota De Caza, in Orange County and as you can see from the picture they are having Fun!

Don and Lynn, we have bought many horses from you and they all grow up to be stars!  The two we just received from you though they are weanlings and yearlings already are easy to handle and are showing a lot of promise.  Thank you for for going the extra mile and handling the babies before you ship them, it makes all the difference in the world!

We are excited about this new colt, he may be too fancy to sell! Your stallion "Devil's Wish" is producing some really talented horses, our "Dressage Friends" are very impressed.

Thanks again for your your wonderful horses, we will be back next year. . . .

Denise & Tom Peterson

Sienna (far right, ) is our favorite.  Here she is shown at the practice Hound Performance Trial in Fitzpatrick, Alabama, September of 06.  Left is Mason Lampton, president of the MFHA and master of Midland Hounds, Georgia; center is Garrick Steel, joint master at  Fox River Valley; and right is Epp Wilson, Chairman of the MFHA Centennial Hound Performance Trials and joint master at Belle Meade Hunt, Georgia.  Sienna is six now, about 17.2hh, and has become the perfect “master’s horse”—she is fast  and hardy enough to keep up with hounds on a coyote for over an hour, but obedient enough to ride at the back of the field so Epp can chat with the other riders.  She loves attention and is a joy to have as part of the family.

Quincy (Silver Concho) (CLydesdale/TB) is doing well.  He competed at a few shows this past year and did very well at training level.  He is sweet as can be, and Victoria loves him very much.
